Drone Operator is an amalgamation of all things electronic in music. His music has evolved from industrial to breakbeats to electro-influenced IDM and also incorporates elements of miami bass, drum & bass, microhouse, dubstep, glitch, and ambient. Though the single unifying element for drone operator’s prolific body of musical work is an element of darkness that is sometimes overt, sometimes an undertone, but always present. His primary influences include: Autechre, Skinny Puppy, Coil, and the Orlando breaks and variable club scenes of the past 2 decades. Drone Operator or “Dr-Op” is always evolving, albeit slowly but assuredly. He has migrated from a strictly hardware setup to a strictly software setup. In addition to producing original music, he also spends time as a laptop DJ and chronic remixer. Bringing underground sonic sounds to hearts, booties, and venues throughout Florida and beyond.
