Using a surprisingly simple amount of hardware to achieve an ever-expanding, auditory result and visceral assault.
Layers of delicately crafted rhythms, sequenced melodies, & atmosphericism billow like cumulus clouds from underwater volcano vents. When A_Scissors tingles his touch pads and fluctuates his actuators .. Angels get their wings and the Devil gets a hard-on. Planets align, tides shift, fluids leak, and love reigns.
Upon hearing A_Scissors’s music, the attention to detail is immediately apparent. Because the level of technicality and presence far surpasses many other electronic musicians on his panorama. But this is not an over-the-top technicality of flashy soloing, blase’ bravado, or overly mucked up compositions. (Which many artists increasingly employ for self-serving purposes.) A_Scissors needs or uses none of these tactics when formulating his cacophonous mini symphonies. His style and aesthetic swims in cool and deep waters that originate in the heart of the Earth. It floats in the universal truths that govern all that is, was, and ever will be. He’s tapped into the essence of existence, and found an original way to portray and transpose that truth through one of mankind’s oldest art forms.
As a friend, a fan, and a colleague I can honestly say that A_Scissors is truly one gifted individual. A beautiful man with a heart of a gold, and an enlightened approach towards life and art. When starting Hairy Sloth Records, Mr. Scissors was first on my list auditory artisans that I wanted to be a part of this fantastic endeavor.”
