Hairy Sloth Records primary function is to catalog and distribute the music of the visionary musician & artist:

Gar Bailey

This will include his solo musical w3rks as: alGARhythm, and many of his current n’ past projeKts, bands, & collaborations. IE: Death To False Love, Zoltan Dobi, Engine Heart, Plaedo, & more.

This website’s auxiliary function will be to showcase some of the many talented groups and individuals that share mutual space in the ever-expanding Sub-South of the continental US and beyond. The level of musical talent in Central Florida alone is far greater than many people probably realize. So for the time being, HSR will primarily promote and release music from that area of the Southeastern United States.  With a bit of luck, eventually hoping to branch out nationally or even internationally.

One of Mr. Bailey’s main motivations in life and with this label especially, is aiding and abetting in the collective efforts to shine lights of appreciation on to the auditory w3rks’ of those doing special things in the w3rld of music & aRt.  Inspiring people who are out there doing fabulous, envelope pushing w3rk. on the regular.  We’re just doing whatever little bit that we can to help document their place and worth in our time & in the annals of infinite net universes.

Gar Bailey has worked hard & long for a solid platform unto which he could offer his own unique brand of music to the w3rld with.  As well as a place to spread the varied musics’ of his contemporaries and newfangled friends across the globe like lightening seeds in the jet stream. A place free of the entanglements of crooked commerce, vacuous capitalism, and crusty upper management, IE -> too many hands stirring the stew.  HSR is just gonna skip all the nonsense, release atleast 50 - 100 great albums of varying motivations, and in the process treat everyone with mad amounts of love and respect.  -Who’d of thunk it could be so simple?

So now with help of modern technology, old fashioned ingenuity, some elbow grease, and a little bird in his heART.. Gar Bailey has an opportunity to make one of his life-long dreams be realized with this here, mighty-fine invention of ingenuity called:
